Winter swept in overnight and but only stayed for a few hours. For a little while we had that wonderful silence and special light that snow gives, natures winter gift.
Another gift has come my way across the sea from Canada, I won this beautiful babushka on Beata’s blog, Rose Hip. Beata’s blog is well worth a visit, she makes the most beauitful things and is going to be opening an Etsy shop soon, yeh.
Isn’t she gorgeous. She has made herself at home and become part of a collection that I didn’t even realise we had started until I noticed them around the house the other day. Thank you Beata.

Your winter photograph is stunning, we didn’t get any snow, not that I’m complaining.
The snow is delightful and that it stays only a short while – well, the English do have such elegant manners.
I love the sight of the snow on the hills in winter ~ we have loads of snow this week ~ drop by for a visit to see my photos.
