We put our coats and hats on and went for a delightful autumnal walk to day through the beautiful Etherow valley.  There has been a real nip in the air this week with some heavy frosts in the morning, but today it was a little milder and the sun shone so we set off for a doggy walk.  There seems to be an abundance of berries and hips this year, a winter feast for the birds and small animals.

I love seeing the hips in the hedgerow, the colour of them is soooo vibrant, like jewels placed there.  The sunlight was sparkling through the trees and making the wonderful colours glow.

Then it was back home with a tired little dog, and I got on with a bit more painting on my latest doll.

Happy  Halloween to one and all!

  1. I have been fascinated by hips and seeds this year. I have a page full of scribbles but it quite unlike me to draw nature. They are lovely this year.

  2. These dolss are going to be your triumph. They are simply gorgeous.
